The Village of Hoffman Estates is seeking a consultant or firm to assist with technical review of a draft
sustainability plan.
Description of Project:
The Village of Hoffman Estates was awarded Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG)
funding to develop an energy efficiency strategy. The Village’s EECBG program ends on September 29,
2012. A draft plan that is nearing adoption will be reported to the Department of Energy as basis of
project completion. The current draft plan is approximately 35 pages with additional appendices of
approximately 15 pages. The Plan includes a narrative of current and past projects, some collected data,
and appendices with proposed projects. The plan’s primary focus is upon project return on investment,
efficiency improvement, and environmental impact. Village staff will be interactive in the review process. A
maximum budget of $6,500 for the consultancy has been established for this project.
