Sealed proposals shall be addressed to and deposited with Rick Huffman, Superintendent, at the Windber Area School District, 2301 Graham Ave., Windber, PA, 15963, until 10:00 A.M. local prevailing time, July 17, 2012, for ?Boiler Replacement? work to the Windber High School, Windber, Pennsylvania. Bids will be publicly opened at the time and place stated above. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, a cashier's check or the bid bond of an approved Surety Company, in an amount of not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount of the proposal. Check or bond shall be drawn in favor of the ?Windber Area School District.? No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Specifications and drawings for bidding purposes may be obtained by the Contractors at the office of H.F. Lenz Company, Consulting Engineers, 1407 Scalp Avenue, Johnstown, PA, 15904, on or after June 29, 2012, upon a non-refundable deposit of forty ($40.00) dollars for one set of specifications with drawings. Specifications and drawings that are requested by the Contractor to be shipped, will be sent via UPS Ground upon receipt of an additional ten ($10.00) dollar non-refundable shipping fee. Work shall be started on the project not later than ten (10) days after notification by the Owner or Engineer to start work. One new boiler shall be completed by October 1, 2012 with substantial completion by October 30, 2012, and final completion on or before December 1, 2012 for Base Bids 1A and 1B. For Base Bids 2A and 2B, substantial completion shall be September 1, 2013 with final completion on or before September 30, 2013.
