Sedalia Housing Authority, Sedalia, Missouri will receive bids for Sidewalk and HVAC Replacement at the Sedalia Housing Authority, East Saline Street, Sedalia, Missouri until 10:00 a.m., CDST, July 26, 2012 in the Community Building, 500 Welch Court, Sedalia, Missouri, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference at 2:00 p.m. on July 17, 2012 at the Community Building.The Contract Documents are on file at the following locations:Sedalia Housing Authority, 500 Welch Court, Sedalia, MissouriEllison-Auxier Architects, Inc., 924 Francis, St. Joseph, MissouriDodge Reports, 22707 W. 72nd Terrace, Shawnee, KS 66227Copies of the Contract Documents, including plans and specifications may be obtained upon deposit of $50.00 per set from the Architect.Checks should be made payable to the Sedalia Housing Authority. The $50.00 deposit will be refunded upon return of the documents in good condition within ten (10) calendar days following bid opening.A certified check or bank draft, payable to the PHA, U. S. Government bonds, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five (5%) percent of the bid shall be submitted with each bid, conditioned that if his bid is accepted, he will enter into proper contract within ten (10) days of the said acceptance.The Bidder to whom a contract is awarded, will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in the amount of One-Hundred Percent (100%) of the contract, or approved security by the housing authority.Wage rates paid on construction work for this project shall be at least equal to the Prevailing Wage Rates as determined by the HUD Wage Rates. The Contractor and his subcontractors will be obligated not to discriminate in employment practices.
