Sealed proposals, in duplicate, are sought by the Ithaca Housing Authority (hereinafter called the "Owner") for the Titus Towers II Boiler Replacement Project located at 800 S. Plain Street, Ithaca, NY. The work shall be completed during the 2012 construction season. Bids are requested for a single prime contract for boiler replacements and associated work in accordance with Drawings, Project Manual, and other Bidding and Contract Documents prepared by Hunt Engineers, Architects & Land Surveyors, PC, Airport Corporate Park, 100 Hunt Center, Horseheads, NY 14845. Sealed bids will be received by the Ithaca Housing Authority until 2:00 p.m. on August 1st, 2012 at the Ithaca Housing Authority Office Building, 800 S. Plain Street, Ithaca, New York, 14850, at which time and place all proposals will be opened and publicly read aloud. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope marked BID# -12-003 IFB - Titus Towers II Boiler Replacement - SEALED BID. The Bidding Documents and Forms of Proposals may be examined at the following: • Documents can be viewed by Dodge subscribers at www.dodgeprojectcenter.com. • Reed Construction Data, 30 Technology Parkway South, Suite 100, Norcross, GA 30092 • Associated Building Contractors, 15 Belden Street, Binghamton, NY 13903-2159 • Builders Exchange of Rochester, 180 Linden Oaks, Suite 100, Rochester, NY 14625-2387 • Owner: Ithaca Housing Authority, 800 South Plain Street, Ithaca, NY • Hunt Engineers, Architects & Land Surveyors, PC, Airport Corporate Park, 100 Hunt Center, Horseheads, NY 14845 Copies of said documents may be obtained from the Binghamton office of Dataflow, Inc. 221 Washington St. Binghamton, NY 13901, phone (607) 772-2001, fax (607) 772-3595, by Bidders for Prime Contract Work upon payment of a deposit of $25 for each complete set and a separate, non-refundable $25 shipping and handling payment for each set requested to be shipped. All checks for sets of Bidding and Contract Documents and shipping and handling shall be made payable to Hunt Engineers, Architects, & Land Surveyors, P.C. All Prime Contract Bidders who have paid the aforesaid deposit for an entire set of Bidding and Contract Documents, have submitted a bid with required bid security, and return such sets to Dataflow in GOOD CONDITION within fifteen (15) calendar days after the award of contract or rejection of bids, shall receive a refund of the full amount of such deposit. Any NON-BIDDER may be refunded his deposit only upon returning plans and specifications PRIOR to the bid opening. Postage and handling are NOT REFUNDABLE. Neither the Owner, nor the Architect, will be responsible for full or partial sets of Contract Documents, including any addenda, obtained from any other source. A pre-bid meeting to visit the location where the work will take place will be held on July 18, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Titus Towers, 800 S. Plain Street.
