This project will extend existing supply and return ductwork to 45 new variable air terminals on the south half
of the three floors. Also, an existing low pressure steam system is routed to heating convectors throughout the
building perimeter. The existing convectors rely on pneumatic or manual control valves to regulate the
temperature. There is no fully automatic control of the heat and no ventilation other than operable windows.
The existing steam pressure reducing station in the basement will supply reheat water to the terminal units
from the steam-to-water heating convertor. The hot water system is a variable flow system with 2-way control
