Description:
The School District of the City of Saginaw is accepting bids for the replacement of boilers at the Herig, Chester Miller, and Longfellow Schools under a Design Build contract. "Design-Build is the procurement, under one contract, with one firm or joint venture for both design and construction services for a specific project. The fundamental element of design-build delivery remains that one entity assumes primary responsibility for the design and construction of the project." A pre-bid walk through can be arranged by contacting Mark DeAngelo at 518-269-7668 or mark.deangelo@sodexo.com Sealed bids are due in the Purchasing Office, 420 S. Warren, Saginaw, MI on Monday, September 10, 2012 at 2 p.m., at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Electronic bids will be accepted to asweeney@spsd.net and mark.deangelo@sodexo.com but must be received no later than 1:30 pm on the 10th. No late bids will be considered. The District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, in whole or in part and to waive any informalities therein. The District also reserves the right to award the contract as it deems in its best interest. Bidders will be required to submit a signed, notarized statement, disclosing any familial relationship between the owner, an employee of the bidder and any member of the Board or the Superintendent of the School District.
