Sealed proposals in envelopes plainly marked: Manchester Water Works Boiler Replacement Addressed to: Manchester Water Works, 281 Lincoln Street, Manchester, NH 03103 Bids will be received until Wednesday, June 20, 2012 by qualified contractors at 3:00 p.m. at the office of the Manchester Water Works at address noted above. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud after specified closing time. All interested parties are invited to attend. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the written consent of the Manchester Water Works. Project involves provisions of all labor, equipment, supervision and materials necessary to perform removal of an old boiler and installation of a new boiler system as detailed in the construction documents and located at the Manchester Water Works. Construction start date is to be coordinated with the owner but is anticipated to be on or about late June 2012 with completion by Mid September 2012 or earlier. The Owner will occupy the existing facility during this timeframe. A Bid Bond or Certified Check for 10% of the bid is required to be submitted with the bid. The Contract Documents will be available on Monday, June 4 and are available for download at http://www.manchesternh.gov/website/Departments/Purchasing/Bid Opportunitiesand Results/tabid/952/Default.aspx. A mandatory pre-bid walkthrough is scheduled for Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Manchester Water Works. Selection of the successful bidder will be in accordance with Chapter 39: Procurement Code of the City of Manchester, Code of Ordinances. The Water Works Director reserves the right to waive any irregularities, reject any or all bids, and to accept the bid that appears to be in the best interest of the MWW.
