EnergyGridIQ news flash: 2/5

By Keith Heyde

So, it’s superbowl Sunday, and here at energygridIQ we decided to give you some fun articles in our news report.

1) Well, even though it was a year ago, in honor of the super bowl I figured I would forward out this interesting article. I know it’s an American tradition, but wouldn’t it mean a lot of the super bowl ran on renewables? http://utopianist.com/2011/02/superbowl-bowl-xlv-will-use-enough-energy-to-power-1500-homes-for-a-year/
2) Interesting breakthrough in the world of solar. Using agricultural waste to generate electricity? Via photosynthesis? http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2012/02/120202092246.htm
3) It’s funny how generating electricity can come down to a manner of overcoming our taboos… interesting take.
