The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a sole souce contract to the Bell-Boeing Joint Project Office (JPO) for the procurment of non-recurring engineering (NRE) and ECP retrofit efforts associated with the AC Bus Tie for MV/CV-22. This effort shall be procured in accordancewith FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Bell-Boeing JPO is the original aircraft manufacturer, sole source producer of production V-22 aircraft. Additionally Bell-Boeing JPO is the only source possessing sufficient requisite system knowledge, engineering expertise, aircraft integration information, and technical data needed for this effort.
