Energy Project RFP Alert - US CA - Department Of The Air Force Bid - Hvac System Repair

Description:
This solicitation shall, the work consists of installing a new HVAC system, to include but not limited to, a new boiler, chiller, air handler, and zoned reheat with Honeywell or Johnson Direct Digital Controls connected to the existing base EMCS system. All existing ducts that are reused in the new installation need to be cleaned. Construction shall include demolition of the existing system and commissioning, to include test and balance, of the new system. Drawings will be provided. It also covers requirements for security, environmental, housekeeping, and procedures on the site or location at which these activities are performed. This description of work is for general information only. It is not our intention to describe every feature of items of work or to define the scope of work. The solicitation will be a Request for Proposal (RFP), Price Performance Tradeoff (PPTO). The proposed requirement is SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES. Award, restricted to Region IX (AZ, CA, Guam, HI, NV) will be the Best Value to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.3. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low offeror. There will be no public opening. The NAICS Code for this project is 238220 - Heat, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Contractors Construction. This is not a solicitation. The magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The contractor will have 214 calendar days to complete. The responsible offeror must be CCR registered to receive an award. The closing date and time for submission of offerors will be on or about 31 August 2012; the actual date will be in the solicitation package on www.fbo.gov. The government will not provide paper copies for the solicitation. The unofficial source list will be available on www.fbo.gov after solicitation but prior to closing, and is based upon the submission of email notifications from firms indicating their interest in the requirement.
