Sealed bids for The Replacement of the 130 Ton Rooftop Air Conditioning Unit at the Benton County, Arkansas Administration Building, 215 East Central Avenue, Bentonville, Arkansas, will be received from qualified bidders at the Benton County Administration Building, third floor Quorum Court Room, 215 E. Central Avenue, Bentonville, Arkansas until 10:00 AM, prevailing time, September 11, 2012, and at said time, will be publicly opened and read aloud by GA Engineers, Inc., as Agent for the Owner, Benton County. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Apparent low bidders will be notified within twenty-four (24) hours, followed by notification of results to other bidders. Mr. Greg Anderson, P.E. 479-601-3331 The scope of work includes: All materials, labor and all other associated work required to replace the existing 130 ton roof top air conditioning unit in strict accordance with the bid documents. Bidding documents will be made available for pick up by all bidders and for inspection at the plan rooms of Southern Reprographics, Inc. (SRI) and A & B Reprographics, Inc. (A&B). Initial copy is free. For any additional copies there will be a non-refundable charge of $25.00 per set, payable by the bidder at time of pick up. Bids will be binding for a period of sixty (60) calendar days from the date bids are opened. All bids are to be accompanied with a bid bond or certified check payable to Benton County Arkansas of not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid. All bids are required to be submitted on the bid form provided in the bid documents. Bidders attention is directed to the requirements of the construction schedule, which is a part of the bidding documents. All bids must comply with the laws of the State of Arkansas. The Arkansas Department of Labor Prevailing Wage Rates will apply. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed, opaque envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder, bidders' license number, and marked: "Proposal Replacement of Roof Top Air Conditioning Unit, Benton County Administration Building, Benton County, Bentonville, Arkansas." A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on September 4, at 10:00 AM, at the Benton County Administration Building, third floor Quorum Court Room, 215 E. Central, Bentonville, Arkansas. BENTON COUNTY encourages participation by minority businesses to submit bids for this construction project. BENTON COUNTY shall award public contracts without regard to race, religion, color, creed, national origin, sex, age or handicapping condition. The successful bidder will be required to provide a performance and payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent of the contract price from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Arkansas to act as surety, or other surety or sureties acceptable to the Owner. THE OWNER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY AND ALL BIDS AND TO AWARD THE CONTRACTS IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE OWNER.

This project is classified under NAICS Code 236220, and has a size standard of $33.5 Million. The cost estimate range for this project is $1,000,000.00 to $2,000,000.00. Contractor shall completely prepare site for work for EXTERIOR LIGHTING UPGRADES, VAMC EAST ORANGE, NJ. Work shall include coordination with utility company to demolish and remove existing light poles, fixtures and overhead wiring. Furnish and install new light poles and fixtures mounted on existing concrete bases, new conductors installed within existing conduits throughout the site, new power panels, relays and lighting contactors within NEMA 3R enclosures mounted on existing concrete pads. Furnish and install new conduit and conductors within existing buildings and new branch breakers in existing panels as required by drawings and specifications.
