Notice is given that on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. the Metropolitan Council will receive
and publicly open separate sealed bids for Metro Transit Contract Number 12P053 at their offices
located at 390 North Robert Street, St. Paul, MN 55101-1805. Sealed bids should be delivered to
receptionist.
The Work of this Project includes: fabricate and install new feed-water tanks and pumps at FT
Heywood, Nicollet, and Ruter garages. Awarded Contractor shall provide and install all materials
and services necessary to replace the three existing boiler feed-water tanks per the project plans and
specifications.
Bidding documents (including Plan Holder Report, Addendums, and Q&As) are available for
download for a non-refundable cost of $10.00 at www.metrocouncil.org (see Doing Business with

Minnesota Statutes, Sections 473.144 and 363A.36, and Minnesota Rules, Parts 5000.3400 to

modifications to them. If a contract for the Project is awarded in excess of $100,000.00 the
requirements of Minnesota Rules, Part 5000.3530 will be applicable. Additional pertinent
information is contained in the Bidding Documents.

Sealed tenders clearly marked as to contents shall be received by the undersigned until 2:00:59 p.m., local time, Thursday, July 12, 2012 for:

Boiler Replacement at 99 Regina Street South, Waterloo, Ontario

Tenders may be obtained between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. from Procurement & Supply Services, 4th Floor, 150 Frederick Street, Kitchener, Ontario, N2G 4J3. Payment in the form of cash, cheque, Visa, Mastercard or Debit in the amount of Thirty Dollars, ($30.00 H.S.T. included) is required for each set of documents. Payments are non-refundable.

A certified cheque or bid bond not less than the amount specified in the tender and bonding requirements must accompany each tender. The successful bidder will be required to provide a 50% performance and labour and materials bond upon execution of the contract agreement.

A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting and Site Inspection will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at Public Health & Social Services Building, 99 Regina Street South, Waterloo, Ontario in front of the building. This meeting is not mandatory, however it is strongly suggested that all prequalified general, mechanical and electrical contractors attend.
